International Council for Helplines offers training opportunities to helpline organizations who are interested in enhancing their helpline services including adding new programs as well as to organizations that are new to the helpline field.
Training curriculum and materials are designed using best practice standards and methodologies based on the International Council for Helplines Accreditation Standards.

Below are examples of the types of training available as well as proposed topics to be covered. We work with you to make sure all topics you would like covered are included in the training. Our trainers are available before, during and after each training. Our goal is to provide you with the assistance, information and expertise to ensure a successful program based on best-practice industry standards.
Online Emotional Support Training (chat and/or text)
If you are interested in starting a chat or text service or looking to enhance an area of your existing service, typically an International Council for Helplines trainer will provide a one-day onsite training. The trainer is available to work with you before the training to ensure all topics are covered as well as after to help answer questions or provide additional information. ASIST and safeTALK
