Mobile Crisis Team Dispatch

The Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) Dispatch Accreditation is available to all International Council for Helpline (ICH) members who are currently ICH crisis helpline accredited, in good standing with ICH and have the responsibility and authority to directly dispatch mobile crisis teams.

These new supplemental standards were created in response to the evolving practice of crisis helplines taking on the responsibility of dispatching mobile crisis teams within their communities.

As a reference, mobile crisis dispatch is a process that indicates that mobile response is deployed directly by the helpline.  It is not a referral for a mobile response visit where the respond team does a secondary triage to determine whether to deploy.  The term dispatch indicates that the helpline has the authority to deploy the team directly without secondary triage.

The Mobile Crisis Team Dispatch Accreditation covers 16 components related to dispatching services.
